Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

Before the Tulip Festival, a quick diversion...Marcus came up to me and said, "Mom!  We have to feed our army!"  After putting away the glass jars they had carried up from the basement ("Armies don't carry glass jars."), I agreed to let them use cans they found in the pantry.  So they raided it.

They were so proud.

They did eventually put everything away, but not in the right places and I still can't find the pistachios.

Now to the Tulip Festival!  Another family from our homeschool group suggested the outing.  The weather couldn't have been better!  Rubber duckie races.

There really were tulips at the Tulip Festival!

Riding the cow train.

Another view of the cow train.

Playing in the hay!  Bonus tunnels!

Marcus was thrilled to ride on a real pony.

Still pretty happy...

Done with a pony ride. "When can we stop, Mom??"

Stuart chose to go on the bouncy trampoline thingy.

Then they both wanted to do the jump house.

Sliding down together.  Sheesh.  They missed out on playing with friends who were at the festival to do this.

Hot, tired, and ready to go home.
