Rule of Thirds at the Rhododendron Garden.

For fun, I cropped all these pictures using the rule of thirds.  Approximately.

We went to the Rhododendron Garden, to see if the winter birds were back.  Also, it's a great place to go if it's wet but not raining.





There were the usual wood ducks.  Stu's new camera takes much better pictures of the birds.  Go, zoom lens!



This female wood duck did not want me taking her picture.  I had to try several times to get a shot before she got into the water.



Armless Stuart wants to show me his "secret route" around the grassy area at the back of the Garden.

Stuart was describing where we should go next.  I think.



Marcus always stops at this sign, because the sign says 3 and he is three years old.



We found some coots!  Not many, but it's a start.



I've never seen birds perched here before.  That day, they were dramatically posed for my convenience.



The kids like to climb the trees near the Shouting Place.



It's not pictures with Stuart unless you get a nasty face!



Stuart has much better balance than I do.  He never hesitates to remind me.



Our old friend, I think a cormorant, drying his wings in the breeze.



Two bonus pictures from home!  Marcus has gotten interested in writing letters on the chalkboard.  They don't always form words.
