Homeschool pics from the last two days.

Sometimes we don't do exciting stuff, and sometimes I forget to take pictures. This time I had stuff to take pictures of two days in a row. And I didn't even bring the camera to swim class.

Stuart is studying ancient China, and jumped at the chance to try his hand at calligraphy. Under my care he is (usually) starved for arts and crafts.

After a while, Marcus declared that he wanted to paint, too.

That was yesterday. Today we got done with school crazy early--I still haven't figured out why. But the kids went for a bike ride in between raindrops. They both insisted on wearing their hoods while wearing their helmets. Yes, my children are following in my dorky footsteps.

Then we went to Mt. Scott for Homeschool Indoor Park. We had never been, because it's right in the middle of quiet time. Now that Marcus is a bit older, I think we might go at least once a month. This is during the skating time. (An hour of free play and an hour of skating--rentals included--for a dollar per kid!) Stuart LOVED that I took this picture.

Stuart picks things up quickly, and is doing much better a few minutes later.

About then, I discovered that they had skates in Marcus' size, too! He was thrilled.

Stuart is now "chasing" one of his friends.

Meanwhile, Marcus has "hit the wall" and is ready to go home.
