48 hours of could-be-worse.

Yesterday, Stuart left my camera in a puddle of water.  It's currently drying out.  I'm hoping I can use it again.  Stu wanted to get a DSLR; we may be getting it sooner than expected.

Today, Stuart broke a compact fluorescent lamp in the school room.  It looks like a glass factory exploded in there.  The broken lamp was screwed into the fixture, so I am not sure how I'm going to get the ballast unscrewed from the fixture.  I waited too long to clean up the glass.  Which is on and in everything.  Now it's dark, and there is of course no light in there.  So I vacuumed the carpet, put a chair in front of the room's door, and will attack that in the morning.

The cat left a blood trail all over the house.  When I found him, he was purring in a happy way, and bleeding a little from the tip of his tail.  He seems to be fine, no longer spreading blood, and resting comfortably in my desk chair.  I keep finding more blood, in little spatters, everywhere.

I let the kids paint their tiny decorative pumpkins, and Marcus spilled paint water all over the floor.  This was when I was supposed to be cleaning up the school room, but was instead cleaning up cat blood.

I am still in a pretty good mood.  Things could certainly be worse.  Although I might just push all the clean laundry off the bed and go to sleep at 7:57pm.
