The Great February Camp-Out

A couple of days ago, the boys decided they wanted to camp out.  I said no, wait and ask your Dad about Friday night.  On Friday, Stu was doing a project for me (the caulk project) and wasn't going to camp with them.  But Stuart and Marcus had already spent all afternoon setting up camp (with the wrong tent).  So today (Saturday), Stu helped them set up the larger tent.  Here they are heading out for a night of cold-weather backyard camping.

Yes, they really are camping in their pajamas.  I get out of these little adventures.  Someone has to get a good nights' sleep, right?  Camping is for when there is no bed.  I refuse to camp twenty feet from my bed.

I'm really amazed at the complete lack of redeye in these pictures.  Apparently a better camera does a better job.

They might have been dancing around in their camp-out excitement.  A little.

Wrestling, too.

I promise you, despite Stuart's super-strength, they were beyond loopy.

Did I mention loopy?

Off to bed they go!  Into their very warm sleeping bags.  Eventually.

It remains to be seen if they will stay the night. It will be cold!

I had a third child just to get out of such things. :) Kidding. Sort of.

Stu is such a great dad, I hope they stay warm.
